Atelier NM is continually immersed in art, interiors, places, people, fashion, culture and the natural world, to name a few….. these touchpoints drive our creativity on a daily basis and inform so many of our design schemes. Click through our notebook to discover some of our favourite inspirations.
How to utilise every corner of your home.
Storage, storage, storage. Many of my clients are based in London, and one of their top priorities is always storage. Having a beautiful home is, of course, important, but if you have nowhere to hide those everyday items and bits and bobs that you have collected over the years, then your home ends up looking cluttered very quickly.
It is all about the details.

Spring Styling Tips.
Spring is falling upon us this week, and with it comes longer evenings, hopes of sunnier weather, and the blossoming of seasonal flowers. We no longer yearn for dark and cosy spaces where we can snuggle up with our families to watch endless films, but instead, we look for bright and light areas that bring the outside in.
How to inject colour into your home.
Sunday 21st March marked International Colour Day; however, I was inspired and so have decided to extend the day out and mark the occasion with a notebook entry on a favourite topic of mine: colour in the home. For so long we had seen the neutral, paired back interiors grace the pages of our favourite publications and Instagram feed.
Favorite Luxury Lighting Brands.
As a natural focal point and an instant mood-setter, lighting is an integral part of an interiors scheme. From Sputnik chandeliers and pared-back pendants to sculptural desk lamps, the right light can pull a room together in the same way that accessories can enliven an outfit.
Most Wanted Rugs.
The history of rugs covers almost the same time-span as human history. Initially animal hides, later river reeds and then woven wool. Rugs were used for sitting, sleeping and to provide warmth on a cool night. In years gone by a rug was often a family’s most valuable possession.
The Art of Bespoke.
For the discerning client, their home demands to be as stylish and original as their personal wardrobe. It also creates an opportunity for the client to own a narrative around their design choices – why did they choose particular materials for an original piece of furniture, how has that piece been made and by whom?
Design Inspirations.
My personal style is very much an eclectic blend of abstract beauty and rule breaking imperfection, in fact there really are no 'rules' when I am designing. I love creating unexpected juxtapositions with colour, pattern and materials - schemes that create conversation and spark debate.
My Unconventional Process.
A marriage of practical design and standout style underpins everything we do at Atelier NM. A passion for global architecture and interiors, from the impactful mid-century designs of American architect John Lautner, to the eclectic schemes of Kelly Wearstler, means that form and function are integral to the schemes I enjoy putting together.
